Peloponnese
The total land mass of the Peloponnese (also spelled Peloponnesus) peninsula in Greece is approximately 21,550 square kilometers (8,320 square miles). The Peloponnese is the southernmost region of mainland Greece and is separated from the rest of the country by the Corinth Canal. It is known for its rich history, stunning landscapes, and significant archaeological sites.
