Tsipras "Greece’s Would-Be Savior Launches Charm Offensive" - Harvey Morris / NYT
The article at the NYT rephrases what it believes all of Europe is asking: is Tsipras a reckless gambler or the savior of Greece?
The leader of the Syriza party, and potentially Greece’s next prime minister, was due in Paris on Monday at the start of a mission to tell Europe what he stands for."
The Tsipras' "charm offensive" is to convince the European leadership he's not set on the economic destruction of Greece (or anywhere else for that matter) but his tight connections to radical leftist people and factions means he's got the ideas that could up-end Europe, as the the NYT quotes from a different article altogether:
“Lock up your wives, children and gold,” wrote Daniel Schneidermann in Le Nouvel Observateur’s Rue89 blog."
