Palaio Faliro beach in Athens
In the southern part of Athens, Palaio Faliro is an "upscale" coastal district that boasts several well-maintained public and private beaches. Here's a little more detail about Palaio Faliro:
This beach area looks out at the Saronic Gulf along the Attic Coast. Nearby is the Phaleron War Memorial commemorating the 2,800 British soldiers who died fighting in World War II. Also close by are the neighborhoods of Kallithea, Nea Smyrna, Agia Dimitrios, and Moschato.
Right next door is Pireas (Piraeus) which is to the west.
